Arsenal boss, Mikel Arteta, has revealed that his team is still missing the experience of Granit Xhaka.
Arteta described the Switzerland international as a huge player, adding that he loves him.
The Spainaird reluctantly allowed the long-serving Xhaka to depart the Gunners in the summer after he had enjoyed his best ever season at the North London club.
The former Manchester City assistant coach took a big gamble by effectively opting to replace Xhaka with Kai Havertz, who joined Arsenal for £65million deal.
Havertz has taken time to adjust to his new role but after a difficult start, the Germany international appears to be getting to grips with the tactical demands of Arteta, scoring three goals in his last four appearances.
“He was a huge player for us. We miss Granit, yes.
“I miss him as well because I love him as a person,” Arteta told Sky Sports.
