Suspected Boko Haram insurgents have infiltrated Gubio LGA in Borno State, making away with a vehicle belonging to the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF).
The incident was made known on Friday by Zagazola Makama, a Lake Chad Basin counterterrorism and insurgency expert, in a post on his X handle.
Makama also said that the insurgents managed to evade security measures in the town and attempted to flee towards a forested area.
The security expert, however, stated that the terrorists’ escape was thwarted as the vehicle broke down before they could reach their destination.
