Makinde approves N80,000 as minimum wage for Oyo workers

The Oyo State Government under the leadership of Governor Seyi Makinde has approved N80,000 as minimum wage for workers in the state.

Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Dotun Oyelade, made this declaration in a statement made available to DAILY POST on Wednesday evening.

Oyelade in the statement, said that the Technical Committee set up by the state government recommended the amount.

He added that the state governor has approved the recommendation.

Oyelade said: “This new scale will be implemented as soon as the consequential adjustments process is completed by the committee which comprises of Government and Labour top officials.”
