Liverpool defender, Vigil van Dijk has refused to rule Arsenal out of the Premier League title race after the Gunners played a 2-2 draw with the Reds on Sunday.
Recall that goals from Bukayo Saka, Van Dijk, Mikel Merino and Mohamed Salah ensured both teams got a point each at Emirates Stadium.
The result leaves Liverpool in second position with 22 points from 9 games, while Arsenal sit in third position with 18 points from the the same number of matches.
Both teams are behind leaders, Manchester City, who have 23 points.
Speaking after the game, Van Dijk believes Mikel Arteta’s side are not out of the title race at the moment.
“Man City lost here and they won the league… I have read so many things that Arsenal are out of the title race if they lose,” Van Dijk said via Fabrizio Romano.
“We’re in the business where you can be on top one week and then not… just enjoy the ride”.
