Flying Eagles head coach, Aliyu Zubairu has boasted that his side will beat Niger Republic, DAILY POST reports.
The defending champions will take on Niger Republic in their semi-final clash at the WAFU B U-20 Championship on Sunday night.
The Flying Eagles earned their place in the last four after a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Cote d’Ivoire on Thursday.
Zubairu believes that his team has the quality to beat their opponent.
“We’re going to win the match, it won’t be otherwise,” he said ahead of the game.
“The boys were jittery in the first match against Burkina Faso because for many of them that was their first international match and they are young.
“But they have since overcome that fear and tension and they will now play with calmness and concentration as a good team from Niger.”
The winner of the game will seal a place at the 2025 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations.
