NPFL: Ikorodu City beat Amokachi’s Lobi Stars in six-goal thriller

Ikorodu City and Lobi Stars served up an exciting six-goal thriller at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos, on Monday afternoon.

Hosts Ikorodu City are the first team to score four goals in a single game at home in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) this season.

Lobi Stars remain winless in three outings under former Super Eagles forward, Daniel Amokachi.

Salau Yusuf gave Ikorodu City the lead after two minutes.

The Oga Boys doubled their lead 17 minutes later with Emmanuel Solomon diverting Harrison Austin’s cross into the net.

Lobi Stars however fought back with two goals in first half added time scored by Ifeanyi Assurance.

Ikorodu City remained undaunted and regained the lead in the 56th minute through Alade Solomon.

Rivio Ayemnwere curled in a beautiful effort two minutes later to seal the win for the hosts.
