Hardship: If Nigerian states collaborate, things will change for better – Shekarau

Former Kano Governor, Ibrahim Shekarau has called for collaboration amongst the 36 states in Nigeria to change the country’s bad situations.

According to him, States are over-independent of one another in Nigeria, lamenting the inability of the states to work together for the betterment of the nation.

The former governor spoke on Monday during an interview on Channels TV Sunrise Daily program.

Ibrahim partly said: “The states are what I call over independent of one another.

“There are no two states I know that are doing anything together and this is not good enough, and these are some issues we want to really bring to the board and then call attention to.

“There are many things that if states will collaborate and work together, a lot of these things are likely to change for the better”.

He made the observation amid the ravaging economic hardship currently facing citizens.
