Victor Osimhen has declared that he is not desperate to win the top scorer award in the Turkish Super Lig.
Osimhen has scored twice in three league outings since joining Galatasaray on loan in January.
There were fears the forward will struggle to settle down at the club with Mauro Icardi having already established himself as the Turkish Super Lig champions leading marksman.
The duo has, however, get along well both on and off the pitch.
Osimhen declared that he is more interested in the team’s success not individual accolade.
“He’s a big legend here. We’ve seen how me and him can work well on the pitch. But for me, I don’t care about being the best scorer in the league,” the 25-year-old told the Turkish media.
“I want to score, assist and help the team when I have the chance, [help] in defence and attack, just like the coach needs me to do, but collective success is what’s paramount.”
