Madugu confident Super Falcons will double over Cape Verde

Super Falcons interim head coach, Justin Madugu insists his side will fight to beat Cape Verde again, DAILY POST reports.

Madugu’s side will do battle with Cape Verde in the second leg of their 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier at the Estádio Nacional de Capo Verde, Praia on Tuesday (today).

The nine-time African thrashed Cape Verde 5-0 in the first leg last week Thursday.

“We are not taking anything into chance with the blend of players that we have. We are not taking anything for granted. We are here to play and win irrespective of the position. We will try and impress so that they can get disgraced at home,” Madugu said in a short video posted on the Super Falcons’ X handle.

“No matter how great your team is, you will always notice a few areas you can improve on. We have noticed some areas we feel they can work harder so that they will perfect at least what we have noticed either offensively or defensively.”

The game will start at 6pm Nigeria time.
