Lobi Stars chairman Philip Nongu has backed newly appointed technical adviser of the club Daniel Amokachi to succeed with the club.
Nongu urged the club supporters to rally round the former Nigeria international.
Amokachi replaced Eugene Agagbe, who was sacked following the team’s poor start to the new season.
“Amokachi is an ex-international with a wealth of experience. He comes at a crucial time for the club,” Nongu stated in a chat with the club’s media.
“We believe he won’t disappoint. Now more than ever, we need the support of all lovers of Lobi Stars to rally behind him.
“This isn’t just the chairman’s club, it’s the pride of Benue. We must all work together to lift Lobi Stars back to its glory days.
“He is a son of the soil, and when your home is in trouble, it’s only right to step in and help rebuild.”
