PDP crisis over if Atiku dumps presidential ambition, Wike pledges peace — Odeyemi

A former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Prince Diran Odeyemi, on Tuesday said the party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, can bring an end to the crisis in the party.

Odeyemi said PDP’s crisis would be over if Atiku openly declared that he wouldn’t run for the 2027 presidency and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, pledged peace.

The PDP chieftain spoke during an interactive session organised by the League of Veteran Journalists, Osun State chapter, in Osogbo.

According to Odeyemi: “For peace to reign in the PDP, Atiku should openly declare that he has no interest in contesting the 2027 presidential election. Likewise, Wike should pledge his commitment to peace within the party.
