Enyimba head coach, Yemi Olanrewaju, conceded his side are in a tough CAF Confederation Cup group but insisted they will do their best to secure a place in the knockout round.
The two-time African champions will face Egyptian clubs Zamalek and Al Masry as well as Mozambique’s Black Bulls in Group D.
Zamalek are the current holders of Africa’s second tier club competition.
Their Egyptian rivals, Al Masry are also one of the experienced campaigners on the continent.
Olanrewaju declared they will give their all to scale through the hurdle.
“While we might have preferred a less challenging group, true champions know they must be ready to face anyone,” coach Olanrewaju told Flashscore.
“This is the toughest group in the competition, but this is Enyimba FC. We will do everything we can to uphold the club’s name and fight to advance. We know it will be challenging.”
