EPL: Graham Potter speaks on negotiating with Man Utd to replace Ten Hag

Former Chelsea manager Graham Potter has refused to confirm he spoke with Manchester United about replacing Erik ten Hag.

Potter has been out of work since he was sacked at Stamford Bridge 17 months ago.

The 49-year-old was fired only seven months after he was appointed.

However, Potter has been heavily linked with several high-profile positions, including United and England.

It is even believed he had conversations with United, who eventually decided to keep faith with an under-pressure Ten Hag.

When asked about it on Monday Night Football, Potter replied: “I think what I’ve read so far in the media a lot of it is untrue and false. I think I’m the only coach in world football that has been linked with Stoke City and Napoli in the same week!

“So I take what the media say with a pinch of salt. I’ve had lots of conversations with lots of people and I think for the respect of everybody, it’s best that I keep those private.”
