Manchester United captain, Bruno Fernandes, will serve a three-game ban following his red card against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
Fernandes was sent off for a high tackle on James Maddison with three minutes left in the first half.
The Portugal captain will now miss next Sunday’s trip to Aston Villa in the Premier League.
After the international break, Fernandes will also be unavailable for the fixtures against Brentford and West Ham.
Fernandes will however be eligible to face FC Porto in the Europa League on Thursday.
That was his first red card for Manchester United.
He is just the fourth United captain to be sent off in a Premier League game at Old Trafford after Roy Keane in April 2001 (v Manchester City), Nemanja Vidic in March 2014 (v Liverpool) and Wayne Rooney in September 2014 (v West Ham).
