Chelsea co-owner, Todd Boehly, left Stamford Bridge during the team’s 2-0 defeat to Manchester City on Sunday.
Boehly was caught by TV cameras storming out of his executive box, after Mateo Kovacic slammed in City’s second goal.
Erling Haaland had given the Premier League champions the lead with a smart finish in the first half.
Although Chelsea had numerous chances to level the tie, it was Pep Guardiola’s men who scored the next goal.
Kovacic drove into the heart of his former team and unleashed an unstoppable effort past Robert Sanchez.
Chelsea’s next league fixture is away to Wolves.
