Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, has warned his players that they will neither win the Premier League title nor finish in top four if they are not motivated this season.
City have won the last four titles in the English top flight.
This season, Guardiola’s men are seeking to lift their seventh in eight years.
But Guardiola has said they need to be up for it.
Speaking ahead of Sunday’s clash at Chelsea, he said: “Our job is to make sure we do the proper things, because when you do that you win and you live better.
“The other way, if you believe you have done it and relax, you won’t win, you won’t be top four.
“That’s always the target at the start of the season.”
