Transfer: Akinsola joins Portuguese club AVS on permanent contract

Babatunde Akinsola has signed a permanent contract with Portuguese club AVS Futebol SAD.

AVS signed the Nigerian on loan from Spanish side Real Valladolid in January.

Akinsola registered one goal and one assist in 17 league appearances for AVS in the second half.

Akinsola expressed his delight after penning the contract.

“I’m very happy to be back. It’s been a fantastic few months, and that made my return easier,” he told the club’s official website.

“I feel like I can show my worth in Liga Portugal and help AVS secure their place in the league. I’m very motivated and looking forward to getting started.”
