112 students secure first-class as FUDMA set to convocate 4,367 in Katsina

The Federal University Dutsinma (FUDMA) is set to convocate 4367 at the 7th and 8th combined convocation ceremony

The Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof.Armaya’u Hamisu Bichi disclosed this at a press briefing held at the University senate chamber on Thursday.

According to the Vice Chancellor, out of this number, 112 attained first-class honours, 1,131 attained second-class upper honours, 2,476 attained second-class lower honours and 636 students attained third-class honours.

Prof. Bichi also noted that the University recorded 401 postgraduates for the convocation, the highest number since the university’s inception. Among these, 11 have PhDs, 168 have academic master’s degrees, and 75 have professional master’s degrees, while 149 have postgraduate diplomas.

In addition to honouring the academic prowess of its graduates, the convocation ceremony will bestow honorary doctorate degrees upon three illustrious personalities. Dr. Ibrahim Shehu Shema, former Governor of Katsina; Faruk Umar Faruk, the Emir of Daura; and Nasiru Ado Bayero, the Emir of Bichi, will be celebrated for their outstanding contributions to society.
