Nigeria’s future depends on youths – Senator Abiodun Alli

The chairman of the Senate Committee on Electoral Matters, Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli, has declared that the future of Nigeria lies with the youths of the country.

Alli, who represents Oyo South senatorial district, made this declaration on Monday while addressing youths at an event to celebrate 2024 International Youth Day in Ibadan, the state capital.

The chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, while speaking, urged youths to harness the power of digital technology for sustainable development.

The lawmaker emphasised the critical role of youth in shaping the future of Nigeria.

He encouraged youths across the country to be proactive in using technology to create positive change.

“The future of Nigeria rests on the shoulders of the youth, and their active participation in nation-building is indispensable.

“I called on government at all levels, private sector stakeholders, as well as civil society organisations, to invest more in digital infrastructure and education.

“It is important that young people are equipped with the skills as well as the knowledge needed to navigate the digital landscape and contribute meaningfully to the country’s development,” he said.
