The presiding judge, Justice Sika Aprioku, after listening to arguments and final written addresses from the counsels representing the parties at the last hearing, reserved the judgement for a date to be communicated within 48 hours.

In a court circular, Justice Aprioku announced that the judgement would be delivered virtually at noon on August 12, 2024.

He urged the counsels to be punctual and informed them that security would be heightened around the court.

Sam Etetegwung, representing the sacked state executive of APC, along with Banarth Ezemoye and Ezekiel Ubom for the local government and ward executives, are seeking a judicial interpretation of the APC constitution and Nigerian law regarding their suspension and the subsequent inauguration of the seven-man Caretaker Committee led by Okocha.
