EndBadGovernance protest continues Monday despite Tinubu’s address – Sowore

Rights activist Omoyele Sowore has declared that the EndBadGovernance protest will continue on Monday.

Nigerians have been protesting against hardship and suffering in the country since last Thursday.

The nationwide protest, tagged EndBadGovernance, is expected to last for 10 days.

The first three days of the protest witnessed violence in some northern states, with security operatives dispersing protesters with tear gas canisters in Lagos, Abuja, Kano and Kaduna.

However, Sowore has directed protesters to march to Ojota before proceeding to Alausa, the Lagos State Secretariat, on Monday.

Posting on X, Sowore wrote: “Please be aware that the #EndBadGovernancelnNigeria action will resume fully tomorrow across Nigeria and in several parts of Lagos-Lekki Toll Gate, Alausa Secretariat, former Lagos Toll Gate, Ketu, LASU Gate, Abule Egba, FESTAC Town, and several other centres.

“However, all groups are advised to march towards Ojota before processions to the Lagos State Secretariat, Alausa.”

With the commencement of the protest, Nigerians had called on President Bola Tinubu to address the country and meet the demands of the protesters.
