Protest organizers refused to lead, allowed children of poor to spare head – Gov Sani

Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has accused the organizers of the EndBadGovernance protest of refusing to lead the rally against the Nigerian government.

Uba said rather than come out to spearhead the protest, they hid themselves and allowed the children of the poor lead.

In an interview with BBC Hausa on Saturday, the governor the organizers of the protest would have cautioned youths who took advantage of the situation to loot.

Sani said: ”We that came out and led the protest then, we were arrested. We never allowed the youths and other members of the public who participated in protests with us to be arrested. We were the ones that were arrested.

“If you’re calling for a protest, you that is spearheading should come out. They have been talking on the social media, but they were not there during the protest.
