Ancelotti names player he wished he’d coached

Real Madrid manager, Carlo Ancelotti, has named Inter Miami forward Lionel Messi as the player he wishes he had the chance to coach in his managerial career so far.

The Italian gaffer recently spoke on John Mikel’s Obi One Podcast.

Ancelotti is one of the top managers in football and has coached several top players including Luka Modric and Eden Hazard, among others.

He has also managed top clubs like AC Milan, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich, Juventus, Napoli and Everton in the past.

“He [Messi] is one of the few [that I missed out on working with],” Ancelotti said.

“I have an unbelievable list [of players I coached in my career], and I remember all of them.

“The teams, the squads, the times we spent together, good times.”
