It has now been confirmed that the appointees of the Akwa Ibom State governor, Pastor Umo Eno are redundant, lazy and have nothing to do with their time.
This is so after this governor, with uncommon sense of decency in the past 16 years, abolished the governmental department of MBAT UTOM (Dirty jobs) and SYCOPHANCY that ran as the most efficient governmental department for 16 years.
The fact of redundancy in Government House can be seen where an aide to the governor on 19 July 2024 went on radio waves to pray for the governor being his only duty as public office holder.
As ignoble as that course was, in less than 12 hours, another laughable “Governmental Program” emerged from the Government House where an aide to the governor designed an online petition urging citizens to sign for a declaration that their principal the governor is performing well.
Performance is not measured by signing petitions written and promoted by an appointee of a public office holder praying that members of the public should sign and declare his principal as performing. Performance is measured by people oriented programs, initiatives and policies of government.
Governor Umo Eno should create jobs not a college of men and women who are busy doing nothing.
