Dangote, Obaseki, other dignitaries attend burial for Saraki’s mum

Godwin Obaseki, governor of Edo, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, governor of Ondo, and Aliko Dangote, Africa’s richest person, were present at the funeral of Florence Saraki, mother of Bukola Saraki, a former president of the Senate.

Saraki’s mother died on June 18 at age 88.

On Thursday, the likes of Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party in 2023, and Emmanuel Udom, a former governor of Akwa Ibom, were present at the service of songs that was held at the Eko Convention Centre in Lagos State.

The occasion was attended by Ademola Adeleke, governor of Osun; Umo Eno, governor of Akwa Ibom; James Ibori, a former governor of Delta; and Osita Ngwu, senator representing Enugu West.

Others present were Rotimi Amaechi, a former minister of transportation; Steve Oronsaye, a former Head of the Civil Service of the Federation; Lai Mohammed, a former minister of information and culture; and Uche Secondus, a former chair of the Peoples Democratic Party.
