Everton manager, Brian Sorensen is delighted with Toni Payne’s arrival at the club, DAILY POST reports.
The Merseysiders announced the signing of the Nigeria international on Friday.
Details and length of the contract was not revealed by the Toffees.
Payne ended her six-year stay with Spanish club, Sevilla in May.
The 29-year-old is Everton’s first summer signing.
Sorensen explained that that winger’s versatility endeared her to the club.
“I’m extremely happy to bring Toni to the Club,” the 44-year-old told the club’s official website.
“She is exactly the type of player we need. I’m 100-per-cent confident Toni can fit right into our team and into this league because she has a wealth of experience from Spain but also for the Nigeria national team.
“She can play multiple positions and is an intelligent player who is really fast. A player without any injury history, too, so we are confident she will be a big success for us.
