Fernabahce manager, Jose Mourinho has singled out three players for praise following Spain’s Euro 2024 final victory over England on Sunday night in Germany.
The players are Nacho Fernandez, Dani Carvajal and Alvaro Morata.
The three Spanairds all played under Mourinho during his time with Real Madrid.
In a post via his Instagram account on Monday, Mourinho, a former Chelsea and Manchester United coach, wrote:
“2024/Champions League winner captain Nacho Fernandez/European Champion winner captain Alvaro Morata.
“Many congratulations to them and to the coach who gave them their debut when they were just kids in the Academy. Same coach who did not understand that Dani Carvajal was another one.
“Many congratulations to Mister De La Fuente for an amazing job. Best team won!”
Two goals from Mikel Oyarzabal and Nico Williams were enough to secure a 2-1 win for La Roja over the Three Lions.
