Mbappe vs Thierry Henry: Robert Pires picks better player

Former Arsenal midfielder, Robert Pires has revealed his choice of the better footballer between Thierry Henry and Kylian Mbappe.

While Henry has stopped playing active football for long time now, Mbappe is the current captain of the French national team.

Mbappe led France to a disappointing 0-0 draw with Netherlands in the Euro 2024 championship on Friday.

Pires and Henry, both former France internationals, played together at Arsenal for six years between 2000 to 2006.

Both men helped Arsenal win two Premier League titles and as many FA Cups.

Henry played 377 games for Arsenal and scored 228 goals and provided 97 assists.

Pires scored 84 goals and assisted 62 in 284 appearances across competitions for the Gunners.

They were also vital as France won the 1998 World Cup and the 2000 European Championship.

“For me, Thierry was better than Kylian Mbappe.

“I love Mbappe (but) Thierry was a more complete (player),” Pires told UEFA official YouTube channel.
