Transfer: Man Utd’s move for Todibo collapses over Ratcliffe ownership

Manchester United’s attempt to sign Nice defender, Jean-Clair Todibo, has fallen through.

A move for Todibo is also highly unlikely due to UEFA rules on ownership.

This was revealed by football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, on Wednesday evening.

Romano tweeted: “EXCL: Jean-Clair Todibo deal for Man United is currently off and highly unlikely due to UEFA rules.

“Talks were advanced with all parties keen for months but Nice and Man Utd with same ownership playing same European competition next season means no green light.”

Sir Jim Ratcliffe owns Ligue 1 side Nice, who qualified for the Europa League this season, as did Manchester United, who he also has a minority stake in.
