Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag, has said Marcus Rashford deserves to be dropped from England’s squad for Euro 2024.
Rashford was one of the high-profile omissions from Gareth Southgate’s squad, alongside Jordan Henderson, Jack Grealish and James Maddison.
Ten Hag has now claimed he was not surprised to see Rashford excluded.
While working as a pundit for Dutch broadcaster NOS on England’s 1-0 win over Serbia on Sunday, Ten Hag said: “Grealish and Rashford were both lacking this season.
“And when you are lacking, you risk not getting picked for your country.”
Rashford scored just eight goals across all competitions last season after bagging 30 the year before.
