Detectives from the Rivers State Criminal Investigation Department, CID, have arrested and detained His Royal Highness, Eze Cyprian Amadi-Worenwu, the Eze Risi Ohia-Emeri Abali of Rebisi, for allegedly threatening the lives of retired Justice Adolphus Enebeli and his family members.

Eze Amadi-Worenwu is accused of threatening retired Justice Enebeli’s life after the latter delivered a judgment against him on March 28, 2023, in a case involving traditional chieftaincy.

Retired Justice Enebeli petitioned the Commissioner of Police, claiming that Eze Amadi-Worenwu, aggrieved by the judgment, resorted to threatening to kill him, his children, and his staff instead of exercising his constitutional right to appeal the judgment.

In the petition, retired Justice Enebeli urged the police to intervene urgently before Eze Amadi-Worenwu carried out his threats.
