Fenerbahce manager Jose Mourinho appeared to have accepted that his club will miss out on signing Rafa Silva, who is likely to join their domestic rivals, Galatasaray.
The Portuguese forward is coming off an outstanding season with Benfica.
He netted 22 goals and provided 15 assists across 52 matches in all competitions.
Silva’s contract is set to expire at the end of the season. According to Mourinho, however, he is edging closer to a move to Galatasaray.
Mourinho told RTP Portugal (as reported by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano): “Rafa Silva to Fenerbahçe? He’s a great player, but I heard he’s close to joining Galatasaray.”
