Players and officials of Bafana Bafana of South Africa spent the night in Port Harcourt as they were unable to travel to Uyo for their 2026 FIFA World Cup fixture against Nigeria, DAILY POST reports.
The contingent arrived Port Harcourt from Johannesburg on Wednesday night.
They were however unable to travel to Uyo because the airport had closed by the time the team was scheduled to take off.
Hugo Broos’ side are now expected to make the trip to Uyo on Thursday morning.
The team will have a feel of the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium Uyo later this evening.
The encounter is slated for the ground at 8pm on Friday.
