The Nigerian Senate has faulted the shutdown of the national grid by members of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, and Trade Union Congress, TUC.
The organised labour on Monday embarked on a nationwide strike seeking an increase in workers minimum wage.
DAILY POST had reported how the organised labour leaders refused the initial offer of N60,000 from the federal government, and thus embarked on an indefinite strike.
The strike paralysed economic activities across the country.
Banks, schools, government, private offices and the national grid were grounded due to the nationwide strike.
A former aide to ex-president Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri, noted that shutting the national grid was a national attack.
The Senate on the other hand said that the unions action was more of economic sabotage than agitation for a new minimum wage.
