Uruguay attacker, Darwin Nunez has named former Barcelona star Luis Suarez as the best striker in the world.
Nunez said this after Suarez labelled him as one of the best No.9 in the world
Suarez had recently branded Nunez as one of the best No.9s after the Liverpool star scored a brace in Uruguay’s World Cup qualifier 3-0 win against Bolivia.
Suarez, who turns 37 in January, had insisted he is ‘very happy’ with his reduced role for Uruguay, claiming that he is back-up to ‘one of the best No.9s in the world’ in Nunez.
When told about Suarez’s claim that he is one of the world’s best strikers, Nunez said as quoted by Metro UK: “Hearing that he praises me makes me very happy.
“The best striker, for me, is him [Suarez], you have to enjoy him in the moments he is with us.
“He is one of the best No.9s in the history of Uruguay and you have to enjoy him.”
