Wikki Tourists sack head coach, Azeez Audu

Nigeria National League side, Wikki Tourists, have parted ways with head coach Azeez Audu.

Audu was sacked following his side’s failure to qualify for the Nigeria National League Super Eight playoffs.

The tactician’s departure was confirmed on the club’s X handle.

“The statement reads, “Wikki Tourists FC wishes to inform the public and our esteemed supporters that, after careful consideration and review of our season, the club has decided to terminate the contract of our Technical Adviser (Head Coach), Mr. Azeez Audu, effective and immediately.

“This decision comes as a result of Mr Azeez Audu’s inability to meet the performance targets set by the club at the beginning of the season.

“As a club with high ambitions and a commitment to excellence, we must take decisive action to ensure we are on track to achieve our goals.

“We appreciate Mr Azeez Audu’s for his contributions during his tenure and wish him the best in his future endeavors.”

Wikki Tourists have drafted in the club’s Chief Coach, Bashir Saleh, to act as interim coach while they search for a permanent replacement.
