Six persons are alleged to be missing at Ebonyi-Benue boundary community in Ado Local Government Area of Benue State.
According to the community leader, Chief Okebili Nwoka, the six family members went missing on Saturday when they visited some Fulani herders stationed at the boundary community to buy cow for the burial of their late in-law, Ogbuagu Ngbo of Nkaleke village.
Nwokwa named the victims to include Obinna Ajah, Aloysius Ajah, Titus Nwogha, Friday Nwuzu, Emeka Okwor, and Anthony Ibina, who are both from Onuebor-Nomeh.
He narrated that the victims were escorted by one of the Fulani herders when they were going to the cow selling point, thereafter, there was a sudden delay on the way but all their phones were switched off.
He further explained that the victims had been traced to Akpurata village, where they were suspected of having been seized by Effium warlords who had been engaged in a communal crisis with the Ezza people.
