Terrorists have attacked the residence of the Chairman of the Zamfara State Haji Commission, ZSHC, Alhaji Musa Malaha in Gusau, the state capital, killing one of his sons, Abdulmunaf, and his gateman.
DAILY POST gathered that the hoodlums also abducted another of his sons, Mu’awiyya Lawali.
It was gathered that the bandits attempted to kidnap the ZSHC chairman but failed.
It was also learnt that the bandits abducted other residents in the area, although they are yet to demand for ransom.
According to a resident, Ishiaku Umaru, the terrorists stormed the chairman’s residence in the early hours of Thursday and started shooting sporadically.
“The shootings woke us up as everyone in the area started running helter skelter. Nobody can exactly say how many people were killed or kidnapped.
“But it was certain that one of the chairman’s sons and his watchman were killed while another of his sons was kidnapped,” the resident said.
He explained that most of the kidnap victims are mainly women and children.
Efforts to contact the Zamfara State Police Command’s spokesman, ASP Yazid Abubakar, were not successful as at the time of filing this report.
