‘NFF treated me like rag’ – Vincent Enyeama

Former Super Eagles goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama has finally spoken up about his rumoured strained relationship with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) that led to his abrupt exit from the national team.

The 41-year-old lamented that the Nigerian football governing body treated him like a “piece of used material.”

In a recent interview with Hot Sports NG, when asked if he thinks his unexpected exit contributed to the sharp drop in the Super Eagles goalkeeping department, Enyeama said: “Sincerely, I’ve not been following Nigerian football right from the day I left [resigned from the national team]. And with due respect, I was treated like a piece of used material.

“So I put up a block between me and the national team. It’s now that I’m beginning to follow what is going on. But I really put a stop to watching football, the national team. I was deeply hurt. But now I’ve moved. I can’t really say much about the national team and the goalkeeping because I’m not watching them.”
