2026 WCQ: ‘You deserve better’ – Super Eagles winger Simon begs fan

Super Eagles winger Moses Simon has tendered an apology to their supporters following the team’s shaky start to the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

The West Africans laboured to a 1-1 draw against Lesotho in their opening game in the qualifiers.

The Eagles also rallied to a 1-1 draw against Zimbabwe in their second game at the Huye Stadium in Butare, Rwanda, on Sunday.

Simon and his teammates have come under intense criticism for their shoddy displays in both games.

The Nantes player took to social media to beg fans.

“Not the result we wanted but we will surely bounce back,” the former Levante player wrote on X.
