NNL promises improved officiating at Super Eight playoff tournament

The Nigeria National League has promised free and fair officiating at the Super Eight playoff tournament.

The NNL Chief Operating Officer, Dr Ayo Abdulrahman, disclosed this during the draw ceremony in Abuja.

Abdulrahman said that the referees selected for the playoff tournament have been highly recommended by the referees body.

The tournament will run from 7th-14th June 2024, with all the matches to be played at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu.

El-Kanemi Warriors will face Nasarawa United in the opening day fixture of the Super Eight playoff tournament.

“We can assure you that you will not be disappointed with officiating during the tournament,” he stated in his address.

“It will be an improvement from the officiating in the regular season, I’m assuring you the referees have given us their word and they have given us the best referees for the tournament.

“All we request is for the players and coaching staff to be professional towards their performance too.”
