Court sentences man for cloning Facebook account of Rivers SSG

A Magistrate Court sitting in Port Harcourt has convicted and sentenced a man to one year in prison or community service for fraud.

DAILY POST reports that P. Chidera and two others were on trial for cloning Facebook accounts and using them for fraudulent activities.

In her verdict, Chief Magistrate Rita Oguguo found Chidera guilty of cloning the Facebook account of Tammy Danagogo, the Secretary to the Rivers State Government, and using it to defraud the public.

The magistrate stated that the prosecution successfully proved the fraud charges against the accused.

Chidera was sentenced to one year in prison or the option of community service, which includes sweeping, grass cutting, and drainage cleaning from the Rivers State Government House back gate at Jumbo Street, Old GRA Port Harcourt to the Rivers State University Teaching Hospital.

The community service is to be performed four times a week for three months.
