Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, has assured the newly-posted Commander of Sector 2 North-East Joint Taskforce Operation Hadin Kai, Brig Gen MCE Ejike, the cooperation of the state government and the people of the state.
He made the commitment on Monday when he received in audience, the new commander.
“We are collectively in the fight against insecurity, and I want to assure you of the cooperation of the state government, traditional, community, and opinion leaders, and the entire people of the state,” he said.
Buni expressed satisfaction with the working synergy among security agencies in the state, hoping that the new commander would contribute to improving security across the state.
The new commander, Brig Gen Ejike said he was in the governor’s office to interface with him as the chief security officer of the state.
“I am here to ensure that, Yobe State is secure,” he said.
Until his posting to Sector 2 as commander, Brig Gen Ejike was the Brigade Commander of 25 Brigade, Damboa, Borno State.
