Defender Uwana Asuquo has won Enyimba’s Player of the Month award for April.
Asuquo won 60 per cent of the votes cast by the club’s supporters. The right-back beat forward Joseph Atule and midfielder Chibuike Nwaiwu to the award.
Asuquo played a crucial role in the People’s Elephant’s three wins in the month.
He provided two assists in Enyimba’s 5-0 thrashing of Kano Pillars in matchday 28 tie in Aba.
Enyimba will hope he maintains his impressive performance as they aim to successfully defend the title they won last season.
The defending champions occupy third place on the NPFL table with 53 points.
