Shooting Stars technical adviser, Gbenga Ogunbote has said his side will try as much as possible to make judicious use of the break in the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, in order to maintain their current form.
The NPFL has suspended the top-flight for one month to allow Rivers United complete their outstanding games as the season gets to its closing stages.
Ogunbote stated that is important for the Oluyole Warriors to keep working hard during the break.
“I think it has to do with every team, except those teams that have outstanding matches with Rivers United.
“Honestly with the form we are in right now, I wish there was no break until the end of the season. But be that as it may, we will try as much as we can to manage the situation.
“You know players, being who they are, it’s like when you attend school without examination, your reading will be minimal, but we will try our best to see that we put ourselves in match form.”
Shooting Stars are currently fourth in the table with 52 points from 32 games, just five points behind the league leaders, Rangers, with six matches left to conclude the season.
