Osun: Kingmakers announce Babatunde as Ekoende monarch

Kingmakers in Ekoende town in the Ifelodun Local Government Area of Osun State on Saturday announced the selection of Alhaji Adekunle Abdulwaheed Babatunde as the Oba-elect of the town.

Our correspondent gathered that the selection of Babatunde was done after a rigorous and comprehensive selection process following the long-standing customs and traditions of the town.

The kingmakers, led by High Chief Isaac Kolawole Ogunkeye, said he was selected after careful evaluation of his qualifications, experience, and commitment to the betterment of the town, urging residents and indigenes of the town to rally behind and support the new monarch.

“It is with great pleasure and pride that we announce the selection of Alhaji Adekunle AbdulWaheed Babatunde, FCA, as the Oba elect of Ekoende in Ifelodun Local Government Area, Osun State.

“The decision to select Alhaji Adekunle Abdulwaheed was made after a rigorous and comprehensive selection process, which involved careful evaluation of his qualifications, experience, and commitment to the betterment of Ekoende.

“The selection process was conducted following our long-standing customs and traditions. all the 5 Afobajes led by High Chief Isac Kolawole Ogunkeye considered Alhaji Adekunle’s qualifications, character, and dedication to community development,” they said.
