The Ogun State Command of Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, on Monday confirmed one person dead and six others injured in an accident along the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway.

He said the accident, which happened at 7:10 am, involved two trucks and a tricycle.

These are a Sino truck with registration number FST 926 YA, an Howo truck marked GSW 180 XA and a Bajaj tricycle with registration number KLE 876 KT.

Uga, however, blamed the crash on mechanical deficiency and excessive speeding on the part of the Howo truck.

“The Howo truck hit the Sino truck and tricycle from behind, with both vehicles traveling in the same direction.

“Unfortunately, the deceased victim was a pedestrian and the corpse has been handed over to the family, while the survivors were taken to the General Hospital for treatment,” he said.
