Gov Alia appoints Tile as Benue’s new Auditor General

Benue State Governor Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia on Friday approved the appointment of Aboh Tile as Auditor General of the State.

Gov Alia’s spokesperson, Sir Tersoo Kula, disclosed this in a statement in Makurdi, the State capital.

“Aboh, before his present appointment, was Director of Audit in the Office of the State Auditor-General since 2015.

“He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from ABU, Zaria, a Master of Business Administration from Benue State University and a Master of Science Degree in Development Studies from Benue State University.

“He is a Member of the National Accountants of Nigeria, Associate Member Institute of Taxation of Nigeria, and a Member Institute of Development Administration of Nigeria,” the statement read.

Sir Kula said the appointment takes immediate effect.

He said it is the directive of His Excellency that all files and documents belonging to the office should immediately be handed over to the new Auditor.
