Police arrest 3 for murder, armed robbery, raping in Delta

The operatives of the Delta State Police Command have arrested a 20-year-old, Raphael Egbo for the alleged murder of his 19-year-old girlfriend.

City & Crime, reports that the girlfriend identified as Jessica Uzowanne, was stabbed to death by the suspect over a disagreement.

The commissioner of Police in the State, Abaniwonda Olufemi, who disclosed this to newsmen in Asaba said the suspect was arrested by the Ozoro Divisional Police.

The command also arrested a suspected kidnapper who also raped his victim.

Olufemi explained that the suspect identified as Ogwu Endurance was a serial armed robber involved in a series of kidnappings in the Abraka area of the state.

He added that in one of the armed robbery incidents, the suspect raped one of his 23 years old victim.

He also disclosed the arrest of one Nicholas Charles, who allegedly stabbed one Ngozi Sharon William, a family friend who paid his family a visit.

According to him, the late Ngozi visited the suspect and his wife as a family friend at 10 Adizue Onochei Street Asaba.

The commissioner said the suspect stabbed the victim to death during a disagreement.

“While the said Ngozi was in the apartment, a disagreement ensued between herself and the said Nicholas, which took them to the kitchen.

“During the course of the disagreement, the suspect Mr Nicholas picked a knife on the fridge and stabbed the victim which led to her death”, he stated.
