Nigerian comedian and filmmaker, Ayo Makun, popularly known as AY, has broken his silence after his estranged wife, Mabel, confirmed the end of their marriage of 16 years.
DAILY POST reports that Mabel confirmed in a recent Instagram post that her dream of a lifelong marriage has taken a “different direction,” and she was now committed to “moving forward with grace and resilience.”
She admitted that it is a challenging period, and asked for “privacy and consideration as we (my ex-husband and I) find our own path forward.”
Reacting, AY expressed optimism that the challenging period shall pass.
On his Instagram page, he wrote: “This too shall pass.”
AY had earlier cried out that his friendship/marriage of 20 years was slipping out of his hands.
